Get Out the Vote (GOTV) Strategy & Notary Ballot Chasing Training
MCA’s GOTV Strategy training equips candidates, activists, and volunteers with proven strategies to plan and execute a successful GOTV operation. Participants learn how to calculate their target vote number, identify and build a targeted voter list, and mobilize committed supporters to turn out on Election Day. The training also covers Election Day operations and best practices used by winning campaigns to increase voter turnout and electoral success.
Our Notary Ballot Chasing training teaches attendees the legal tools and practical skills to boost voter turnout through notary certification and ballot chasing. Participants are guided step-by-step through the Maine Notary exam and leave with a completed application. The training also covers ballot chasing—a proven, lawful strategy to help low-propensity voters request, complete, and return absentee ballots. By combining notary certification with hands-on outreach tactics, attendees gain the skills to directly increase turnout and help win close elections.
A one-time $50 state fee is required to become a notary (not due at training).
